About
Finding the right therapist is an important step, and I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe, heard, and genuinely understood. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, struggling with your mental health, facing relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life, I strive to provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, building on your strengths while developing practical strategies to help you move toward healing, growth, and lasting well-being.
I provide therapy for individuals, couples, families, children (7+), and teens, offering a supportive environment where clients can explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop meaningful tools for positive change. I work with individuals experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, OCD, ADHD, and relationship concerns. Together, we focus on understanding unhelpful patterns, building resilience, strengthening self-awareness, and developing practical coping strategies that support lasting emotional well-being.
For children and teens, I help young people build confidence, navigate big emotions and school-related challenges, strengthen social skills, manage anxiety and stress, and develop healthy coping strategies. I also support children and adolescents experiencing ADHD, OCD, emotional regulation difficulties, identity development, and self-esteem concerns, while working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to foster growth and consistency across home, school, and other important environments.
In my work with couples, I help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, navigate conflict, strengthen emotional connection, and better understand each other's needs. Whether couples are facing ongoing relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, major life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected, therapy offers an opportunity to create healthier patterns of interaction and deepen emotional intimacy. I have completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy Levels 1 and 2, which allows me to integrate research-based interventions that help couples strengthen their relationship and build healthier, more fulfilling connections.
I also work with families, supporting them in improving communication, resolving conflict, strengthening relationships, and creating more supportive family dynamics. I help parents and caregivers better understand their children's emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs while fostering stronger, more connected family relationships.
In addition to my private practice, I work with a school board as an Educational Resource Worker, supporting children with intellectual, behavioural, and developmental disabilities. This experience has given me firsthand insight into the unique challenges faced not only by students and families but also by teachers, educational assistants, child and youth workers, administrators, and other professionals working within the education system. I understand the emotional demands, compassion fatigue, burnout, competing expectations, and pressures that can accompany these roles, and I enjoy supporting education professionals in prioritizing their own well-being while continuing to care for others.
As a BIPOC therapist and someone who has personally navigated the experience of building a life in a new country, I appreciate the ways culture, identity, family expectations, and lived experiences can shape our mental health, relationships, and sense of self. I strive to provide culturally sensitive, inclusive care where clients feel respected, understood, and accepted for who they are.
Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I spent more than a decade in leadership within the hospitality industry. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the pressures of demanding workplaces, including chronic stress, burnout, perfectionism, self-doubt, and balancing multiple responsibilities. These personal and professional experiences continue to inform my work and strengthen my commitment to helping clients navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.
I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward the life you want to create. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you on that journey.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, music, traveling, and spending time with my family. Long walks with my husband and board games with my daughters are some of my favourite ways to recharge.
