Neal Solomon MSW, RSW
I provide individual, couples and family therapy to children, teenagers and adults across Ontario.
About
I have 20+ years of experience providing individual, couples and family therapy to children, teenagers and adults. Over the past two decades, I have helped clients overcome a variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, low self esteem, anger issues, learning disabilities, bullying, communication issues, legal issues, grief, bereavement as well as separation/divorce related issues and addiction (alcohol, phone, gaming).
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher for 10 years in Toronto. Often students would seek me out individually to talk about issues such as healthy sexuality, relationships and family conflict. While doing so, I discovered my passion, which is working with adolescents (10-18yrs), adults and families. I am committed to helping individuals improve upon their communication skills, emotional regulation, awareness, accountability and to integrate coping mechanisms into their daily lives and practice.
I understand that parenting can be overwhelming and stressful. I support parents and families navigate this complicated dynamic and time of life. This includes: bullying, over-programming, peer pressure, phone expectations, social media management, school and social opportunities.
I have helped families work through challenges such as feeling misunderstood, sibling disconnection, estrangement, and the impact of mental health concerns—always with care and respect for the complexity of each situation. Whether facing ongoing tension, communication
breakdowns, or deeper systemic issues, I help families move toward greater connection, understanding, and resilience—at a pace that feels right for them.

I am also an experienced couples therapist. If you are struggling in your relationship or marriage, I can help. I have helped many couples navigate through some of the most difficult and defining moments in their relationships — whether it’s rebuilding after infidelity, feeling stuck in
disconnection due to the demands of raising children, or finding a way back to intimacy after a long absence, I can help. I also work with partners healing from the impact of domestic assault, helping them restore a sense of safety and trust. Together, we work to understand underlying patterns, strengthen emotional connection, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I have a unique way of connecting with clients that encourages them to open up to me. This helps to facilitate trust and results in better communication, connection and outcomes. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration and support. In sessions, clients can expect a non-judgmental space where we work as a team. I believe that you are the expert on your life,
and I am here to walk alongside you on your journey. Together, we explore what matters most to you, with curiosity, openness and even a little humour – because sometimes healing starts with a smile or a lighthearted quip.
Please reach out to see how I can help you and your family today.
In my spare time, I am passionate about baseball, an aspiring chef, collector of memorabilia and proud father of a teenage son.
