Charmaine Ross (MSW, RSW)
I provide individual, couples & family therapy to children, teenagers & adults.
About
Whether you are navigating a difficult season of life or simply seeking greater self-understanding, I strive to help you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the
therapeutic process.
Drawing on over 7 years of clinical experience, I work with children, teenagers, and adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma, grief, life transitions, workplace challenges, school-related concerns, relationship difficulties, and questions related to identity and belonging. I also support individuals navigating racial identity, race-related stressors, experiences of discrimination, cultural concerns, and the impact these
experiences can have on emotional well-being. For clients who wish to incorporate spirituality into their counselling experience, I offer Christian counselling that integrates faith, values, and personal beliefs into the therapeutic process.
I also work with couples and families seeking to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, improve emotional connection, and foster healthier relationships. My role is not to take sides, but rather to help each person feel heard and understood while supporting the development of more effective ways of relating to one another. When appropriate, I collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children and youth in creating positive and lasting change.
Clients often describe me as compassionate, approachable, and easy to talk to. In our sessions, you can expect a supportive environment that balances empathy with practical strategies and meaningful reflection. My hope is that therapy helps you develop greater self-awareness,
healthier coping skills, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of hope and direction.
I believe that healing begins when people feel safe, supported, and accepted for who they are. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences at your own pace and in your own words.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I help clients build on their existing strengths while developing practical tools to navigate challenges more effectively. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, relationships, and life experiences in ways that promote insight, resilience,
confidence, and meaningful personal growth.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, reading, taking photographs, listening to music, staying active, attending concerts and comedy shows, exploring new restaurants, participating in faith-based activities, playing the piano and violin, and pursuing lifelong learning and personal growth.
