About

I am allied with 2SLGBTQAI+ communities, and I welcome adults of all backgrounds, cultures, and relationship structures. I know how much courage it takes to reach out for help. I specialize in supporting adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem and identity. As a trauma-informed counsellor, I am dedicated to providing a compassionate space where you can feel safe, find balance, and build resilience amid life's challenges. My practice is shaped by compassion and respect for the full spectrum of identity and human experience. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, or questions of identity and self-worth, I am here to support you.

Before counselling, I spent 25 years in the arts and cultural sector, working across Canada and internationally with communities from vastly different cultures and worldviews. That work taught me how to listen across differences, how to hold complexity, and how to respect the fact that your life and your story belong entirely to you. It also taught me that real change is possible, and that finding your way to yourself is work worth doing.

Working with me is collaborative, insight-oriented, and paced by you. I'll hold a safety net while we move through your concerns, together. I believe counselling should be free from judgment, including the kind embedded in systems that have told some of us we are too much, not enough, or that we don't belong. This is a space where you get to take up room.

I bring significant experience working with a diverse range of people, drawing on skills and knowledge developed over the past 30 years in the arts and cultural sector and in post-secondary settings. My work and life have taken me across Canada and internationally to engage with communities in 50+ countries, and I am comfortable supporting you and your lived experience. I have been practising counselling for three years in Western Canada, drawing on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, SFBT, and somatic-informed therapies, tailored together to what feels most meaningful and helpful for you.

My practice is affirming of gender, sexual, and relationship diversity, and grounded in cultural humility and anti-oppressive values. I am committed to a non-judgmental, inclusive space where you can speak openly, work at your own pace, and explore what holds you back from living a fulfilling, vibrant, and authentic life.

In my spare time I travel, write, listen to music, read, dance, and look at the stars.

I invite you to reach out. I would be honoured to work with you.
